Natural Diversity

Peaks over three thousand metres high, rivers, ravines, waterfalls and marshes, more than 200 lakes of different shapes and colours and a great diversity of animal and plant species give life to this unique protected natural area in southern Europe.

Activities and Education

The National Park offers, during the four seasons of the year, a programme of activities that includes itineraries with the service of interpreter guides, snowshoeing outings in the winter season, naturalist days, exhibitions, talks and competitions that aim to raise awareness of the main natural values of the National Park in order to improve the protection and conservation of these privileged spaces.

Territorial Distribution

The Park's territory is divided between four counties: Alta Ribagorça, Pallars Sobirà, Pallars Jussà and Vall d'Aran.

Access to the Park

The usual access to the heart of the Park is via the two historic entrances: Espot (Pallars Sobirà) and Boí (Alta Ribagorça).
